Hi there, I’m Susan.

Many of my clients are doing the hard work of change and want someone in their corner. They’re often tired of pretending they’re fine, and they’re ready to be honest about it, even when it’s messy. I work with adults and parents who are in the middle of something: a relationship that’s changing, a family that’s blending, a house that’s gone quiet, a parent who’s aging, a loss they’re still carrying. I also enjoy working with younger children through Child Centered Play Therapy.

I won’t tell you everything happens for a reason. I’m a gentle guide with a backbone: warm, unhurried, and direct enough to tell you what I’m noticing, with kindness. I trust my gut in the room and think carefully about what’s underneath, and we’ll work out next steps together because I don’t hand out answers. I can work short term and solution focused, or go deeper into earlier attachment concerns, depending on what you need.

I believe people are more than their worst moment or their diagnosis. My MA in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy means faith, meaning and doubt are welcome alongside mental health concerns. Years of PSW work, and growing up in a rigid culture, shaped how I show up. I know what it costs to unlearn harmful norms and rebuild your sense of where you belong. I bring warmth, honesty and humour, and I’m not afraid to laugh at myself, so you never have to be perfect here.

Areas of Focus & Interest

  • Grief and loss, including end of life care
  • Anxiety & depression
  • Parenting challenges
  • Intimate relationship challenges
  • Blended families & empty nesting
  • Life transitions & Aging
  • Self esteem & shame
  • Spirituality & questions of faith
  • Child Centered Play Therapy for children

If you’re looking for someone who will be honest with you, won’t rush you, and won’t judge you, we may be a great fit. If you want a quick fix or a strictly clinical, by-the-book approach, I may not be the right fit, and I’d rather tell you that honestly.

Outside of therapy, I reset in the kitchen, tidying a space that needed it, or making something with my hands. I stay active, get lost in a book when time allows, and love catching up with people I’ve met over the years. It reminds me that the best part of any hard stretch is who’s with you.

Hi there, I’m Eileen. If you’ve been thinking about starting therapy but keep putting it off, wondering whether your struggles are “big enough,” or whether a stranger could really understand what you’re carrying, I totally get it! You’re not alone in that feeling and I’m not here to fix you or tell you how to live your life. I’m here to sit alongside you, in a space where you can finally slow down, be honest, and just breathe for a minute. No judgment, no rushing.

I work with individuals and couples navigating anxiety and overthinking, people-pleasing, low self-worth, trauma, and difficult couple dynamics, as well as addiction, their own or a loved one’s. I also love working with newcomers exploring cultural identity and family expectations, since so much of that journey is about figuring out who you are across two worlds. With over six years across youth shelters, crisis stabilization settings, community mental health, and now private practice, I bring both training and lived understanding to this work I love so much.

I ask a lot of questions. Partly because I’m nosy (in the best way), but mostly because slowing down and noticing what’s happening beneath the surface matters. Still, insight alone isn’t always enough, so there’s plenty of room for emotional exploration too. If I notice a pattern worth naming, I won’t just nod along and ask “how does that make you feel” I’ll bring it into the room, gently, with curiosity, and did I mention non-judgemental? And yes, there’s room for humour here too, especially once we’ve built some trust. I promise I’m more fun than the average therapist bio makes me sound.

Areas of Focus and Interest:

  • Cultural identity, newcomers, and family expectations
  • Addiction (personal or a loved one’s)
  • Trauma and attachment wounds
  • Anxiety and overthinking
  • Self-esteem, identity, people-pleasing and self-trust
  • Difficult relationship dynamics and boundaries
  • Relationship patterns and disconnection in couples

If any of this resonates, I’d love to chat. You really don’t need to have it all figured out before reaching out. Let’s just talk.

Outside of therapy, you’ll usually find me volunteering at a local animal shelter, crocheting something questionable, or sweating it out in a spin, Pilates, yoga, or Zumba class.

I’m Joshua. I work with people who are curious about their own stories and ready to see what the next chapter might hold. I think of myself as a reflector. I mirror the words you use to describe yourself, then ask questions to explore what they mean to you. My approach is gentle, but at times firm. If harsh your self-judgment shows up, I’ll gently steer us toward a more compassionate view of you.

I believe every part of you is there to support you, even the parts you’d rather avoid, and I meet them with compassion instead of judgment. I lean analytical, but I trust intuition too, noticing the patterns and feelings underneath that’s brought you to this point. With 20 years in social services and two years in therapy practice, I’ve supported people through childhood trauma, social anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, and eating disorders. My work is rooted in Narrative Therapy, alongside Trauma-Informed Care, CBT, and Harm Reduction,I believe the stories we carry shape how we see ourselves, and they can be retold from a place of power and autonomy.

Therapy is a shared exploration. I’ll create a safe, judgment-free space for your story to be heard, and yes, there’s room for humour too. I’m sarcastic, and a little dry wit can ease the weight of hard things.

Area of Focus and Interest:

  • Individuals 16 and older
  • Men’s mental health
  • Depression, general anxiety, and social anxiety
  • Self-image and self-esteem
  • Eating disorders and disordered eating
  • Childhood trauma and unresolved pain
  • Identity, self-discovery, and personal growth Building self-confidence and finding your voice

If you’re curious about yourself and want to understand the stories you carry, let’s begin. Reach out and let’s talk about how I can support you.

Outside of therapy, you’ll find me with my partner and our four kids, walking our rescued Cane Corso, playing hockey, or painting. I’m also a gamer and a geek, happiest with a fighting game controller or a handful of dice.
